The F40-8 is the 8 wheel drive model in the Falcon forwarder range. Designed and manufactured in Co. Meath, Ireland it is a very productive and capable machine.
It is mainly designed for small to medium plantations, broadleaf plantations or those classed as 'sensitive' sites. The F40-8 has a loading capacity of 4 tonnes and a crane reach of 5.3 metres. Equipped with eight 500 mm wide floatation tyres and boasting a ground clearance of 550 mm, it is designed for minimal ground impact. Fitted with a proven 48hp (36.4kw) engine it has plenty of torque and power allowing it to work and traverse different terrains.
The transport costs of heavy equipment often prohibits owners or contractors from carrying out thinning on smaller plantations. The F40-8 can be transported on a low loading trailer allowing the owner to economically manage different plantations.
With the optional extra of a tipping body the F40-8 can be used to carry out other tasks on the farm or plantation. We have various crane grabs available to suit your needs.
Finally a machine designed to overcome challenges of woodland management in an environmentally, economical and sensitive manner.
